Run-of-river derivation plant on the Drava with daily-accumulation reservoir (2.8 km2, 8 hm3). 2 main Kaplan units (A 47MW + B 47MW) plus 1 small biological-minimum (ABM) unit C (0.635MW, added 2016) sharing this page/site -- aggregated into one row per this project's composite-plant convention. 8 m3/s biological minimum flow reserved. Average annual production ~450 GWh (max 636 GWh in 2014, min 370 GWh in 2003). Part of PP HE Sjever, remotely controlled from Centar proizvodnje Sjever alongside HE Cakovec and HE Dubrava, coordinated with Slovenia's DEM utility on the shared Drava basin (42,238 km2 total, 323 km in Croatia). Coordinates are a town-level estimate (Sracinec), not plant-exact -- not published on HEP's page. HISTORY (source: D. Rezek, "Hidroelektrane na Dravi", GRAĐEVINAR 55 (2003) 11, 647-653): first of the three-plant Drava cascade in Croatia. Construction began 1970, commissioned 1975 (4.5 years) — fast for this class of infrastructure at the time. A genuinely multi-purpose facility beyond power generation: flood defense, water supply (including a sugar factory across the border in Ormož, Slovenia), land drainage and irrigation, navigation, and recreation/tourism along a 28.5 km stretch of the Drava. 2 Kaplan turbines, 125 rpm, ~90 MW at generator terminals per the article's own figures, ~476 GWh average annual production. Main dam: 19.7 m high, 133 m crest length; supply canal 7.4 km, drainage canal 7.2 km, 5 bridges over the derivation canal.
