Vjetroelektrana Orlice

Croatia's 3rd wind farm, construction completed May 2009, grid-connected 4 June 2009, official opening ceremony 22 December 2009 attended by the Prime Minister (Croatian government press release cited below). Located on Mount Orlice near the Vrpolje exit outside Šibenik. Mixed 11-turbine fleet: 8x Enercon E-44 (900 kW each, rotor 44m, tower 55m) + 3x Enercon E-48 (800 kW each, rotor 48m, tower 50m) = 9.6 MW total -- HubHeightM/RotorDiameterM are left NULL here because the fleet mixes two distinct turbine specs that cannot both fit one numeric column (both specs are recorded in TurbineModel instead). Planned annual generation ~25 GWh/yr (MonthlyMwh = 25,000/12 = 2,083.33). Investment ~EUR 13 million per wpd.hr. OWNERSHIP FLAG: wpd's own project page (wpd.hr) lists this plant alongside Trtar-Krtolin/Ponikve/Katuni as one of "wpd Adria d.o.o."'s 4 completed Croatian projects -- but unlike Trtar-Krtolin and Ponikve, NO dedicated single-purpose "Vjetroelektrana Orlice d.o.o."-style entity could be found in the Croatian court/FINA business registry despite the same search. The Owner claim here is therefore attributed to wpd Adria d.o.o. itself (Dubrovnik, OIB 15471651450, MB 01499831, founded 2000, sole member wpd europe GmbH -- its FINA registry record is indexed under the URL slug "wpd-enersys", suggesting it is the same legal entity some older sources call "WPD EnerSys d.o.o."). This is the one ownership fact in this 5-plant import that could NOT be pinned to a plant-specific SPV the way Trtar-Krtolin, Ponikve and Rudine could -- flagged explicitly for further verification if a more specific entity surfaces. CORROBORATION (2026-07-20): HOPS's official August 2025 monthly wind-generation report independently confirms this plant as "in regular operation since 2009", matching the existing CommissionYear stored here -- no change made, added as a 2nd independent source.
