Vjetroelektrana Trtar-Krtolin

Croatia's 2nd-oldest wind farm (after Ravne 1), operational since June 2006, built on the Trtar and Krtolin hill ridges above Šibenik (400-500m elevation), next to the A1 motorway. 14x Enercon E-48 turbines, 0.8 MW each (11.2 MW total), rotor diameter 48m, tower/hub height 50m. Annual production target ~30 GWh/yr (a specific verified year, 2007, recorded 27.6 GWh actual, ~28% capacity factor) -- MonthlyMwh computed from the ~30 GWh/yr design figure (30,000/12 = 2,500.00). Connects to the grid via the Bilice 30kV transformer station. Site originally selected/developed by Umweltkontor Renewable Energy AG (Germany) in the early 2000s per independent trade-press coverage (which also credits Umweltkontor with selecting the Orlice and Ponikve sites) -- not modeled as a Partner here, superseded/historical only. Current legal owner-of-record per the Croatian court/FINA registry is the single-purpose company Vjetroelektrana Trtar-Krtolin d.o.o. (Dubrovnik, OIB 44523748256, founded 2002), 100%-owned ("jedini član") by wpd europe GmbH (Germany, Bremen court register HRB 17530). wpd's own project page (wpd.hr) states a build cost of EUR 1,250,000,000 for this 11.2 MW plant -- almost certainly a data-entry error on wpd's own site (>EUR 110,000/kW, an order of magnitude beyond any comparable wind project) -- NOT used as BuildCostEur; left NULL rather than propagate an implausible sourced figure. COMMISSIONYEAR UPDATE (2026-07-20): HOPS's official August 2025 monthly wind-generation report lists this plant as "in regular operation since 2007", one year later than the June 2006 date sourced from Wikipedia previously used here. Per user decision, HOPS is treated as authoritative for CommissionYear going forward; the 2006 date is preserved here rather than deleted, most likely reflecting an earlier grid-connection/trial-operation milestone.
