HE Rijeka

High-pressure derivation plant on the Rjecina, powerhouse at 5m elevation practically in central Rijeka near the coast; intake several km upstream at 229.5m elevation (gross head 224.5m calculated from these two stated elevations, not a directly published head figure). 2 vertical- shaft Francis units, 18.4 MW each. Hourly-regulation reservoir (0.47 hm3) at the Valici intake dam near Grohovo. Average annual production ~84.45 GWh. Also has a 350 kVA house diesel generator. Provides ancillary services (tertiary regulation, black start, island operation). Organizationally part of GHE Vinodol, under Centar proizvodnje Zapad.
