The first hydroelectric plant in Europe and the second oldest in the world -- began operating 28 August 1895 (two days after the Adams Power Plant at Niagara Falls), moved to its current location in 1903. Part of GHE Miljacka on the Krka, near the Skradinski buk waterfalls. Pure run-of-river with NO flow-regulation capability. 2 Francis "barrel-in-barrel" units, combined 2x15.5 m3/s. Capacity stated as 7.3 MW in HEP's narrative text, 7.2 MW elsewhere on the same page -- a minor discrepancy left unresolved. Average annual production ~35 GWh. Rebuilt 1916, 1937, 1974, 1995, 2002-03. Commissioning-year table field was blank on HEP's page; 1903 (current-site rebuild) used here per HEP's own narrative. Coordinates are a town-level estimate (Skradin), not plant-exact.
